And when he (Barnabas) had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
(1). Greetings all, we are them that liveth, and were dead; and, behold, we are alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
(2). Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love 2 John 1:3
(3). Today's manna is titled, 'We are not Christians.'
(4). For those who do not know, our disciples were named Christians in modern day Turkey by those who did not believe in us.

(6). And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people.
(7). And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch (Turkey).
(8). Just as we told you our disciples were first called Christians by unbelievers in Antioch (Turkey).
(9). Thus, the word Christian is the title that was given to us by those who did not believe in us.
(10). It was a term used by them to reproach us.
(11). Our enemies named us Christians in their show of disapproval of us.
(12). At that time, our members were told by the apostle Peter on 1 Peter 4:14-16, "If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye ; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
(13). But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
(14). Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf."
(15). The commentary of the above scripture by Witness Lee: "The name denotes the person.
(16). To be in the name of Christ is actually to be in the person of Christ, in Christ Himself.
(17). The believers (of the Everlasting life), having believed into Christ (John 3:15) and having been baptized into His name (Acts 19:5), that is, into Himself (Galatians 3:27), are in Christ (1 Corinthians 1:30) and are one with Him (1 Corinthians 6:17).
(18). When they are reproached in His name, they are reproached with Him, sharing in His sufferings (v.13), in the fellowship of His sufferings (Philippians 3:10).
(19). ....verse 16: 'Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf'
(20). Lee: "Greek (Christianos): a word formed from Latin.
(21). The ending ianos, denoting an adherent of someone, was applied to slaves belonging to the great families in the Roman empire.
(22). One who worshipped the emperor, the Caesar, or Kaisar, was called Kaisarianos, which means an adherent of Kaisar, a person who belongs to Kaiser.
(23). When people believed in Christ and became His followers, some in the empire came to consider Christ a rival of their Kaisar.
(24). Then at Antioch (Acts 11:26) they began to call the followers of Christ Christiano (Christians), adherents of Christ, AS A NICKNAME, a term of REPROACH.
(25).Hence, this verse says , 'As a Christian, let him not be ashamed': "that is, if any believer suffers at the hands of the persecutors who CONTEMPTUOUSLY call him a Christian, he should not feel ashamed but should glory God in this name." Witness Lee
(26). Amen!
(27). The point we are trying to make, is that we are in Christ and therefore, we are Christ and not Christians.
(28). Once more, "To be in the name of Christ is actually to be in the person of Christ, in Christ Himself.
(29). The believers (of the Everlasting life), having believed into Christ (John 3:15) and having been baptized into His name (Acts 19:5), that is, into Himself (Galatians 3:27), are in Christ (1 Corinthians 1:30) and are one with Him (1 Corinthians 6:17).
(30). We are in Christ, and not in Christianity or in any religion.
(31). Therefore, we are Christ and not Christianity or any religion.
(32). Our enemies began to call us Christians, as a nickname, a term of Reproach.
(33). Then at Antioch (Acts 11:26) they began to call the followers of Christ Christiano (Christians), adherents of Christ, AS A NICKNAME, a term of REPROACH.
(34). We are not Christians.
(35). We are the members of his body, of his flesh and bones.
(36). We are Jesus Christ.
(37). Ephesians 5:29-32 KJV
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
(38). For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
(39). This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
(40). Christ and the church are one.
(41). We are Christ.
